A fun way to see a movie. Big recliners, waiters bringing you food and drink right to your seat, and a big, clean theatre. They have 30 minute "curated pre-shows" before the movie, which really adds to the experience. Before The Crow, they mixed old movie trailers with music videos, some featuring FKA Twigs, who is one of the stars of the movie. The food and drink selection was surprisingly solid. They have a big beer list, with all styles. Tons of ipas of course, but I'm a stout fan. The menu includes the port city porter, a local fave, but I went with a new discovery, an imperial stout from Blue Mountain brewery. It was so good. Very surprising to make beer discoveries at the movie theater. We tried food as well. The chicken tenders with fries is actually top notch. Great seasoning on the tenders. The fried pickle spear appetizer hit the spot, too. We were very pleased. The one downside to this type of experience is you do have waiters roaming through and people placing orders from time to time. While that would be a distraction during most movies to me, they often have sing alongs and movie parties, where they show an old movie and hand out props. Fun experience. After taxes and fees, tickets were $18.65 per person, which is not much above the standard these days.

The Alamo Drafthouse Cinema offers a movie-going experience that stands out with its gourmet take on traditional theater cuisine. The food here is not your typical popcorn and candy; instead, you get high-quality dishes that elevate the entire experience. The waitstaff are attentive and manage to efficiently serve the audience without disrupting the film, showing a great balance between speed and respect for the moviegoers' experience. An added bonus is that parking is included, making the visit even more convenient. Overall, it's a top-notch venue that combines great food, excellent service, and a hassle-free experience, making it a must-visit for any film enthusiast.

When I found out that an exclusive premiere of Batman The Series from Amazon Prime was going to happen at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema exclusively for their members and at their brand-new Alamo Drafthouse Bryant DC site, I jumped at the opportunity. This beautiful cinema is in the Bryant DC neighborhood, right off the Red Metro Line stop. They also a have an attached bar called The Highbinder, which has a cool Happy Hour with many of the drinks and appetizers served during the movies at a reasonable price. I had some white wine, their coliflower appetizers and their mozzarella sticks with tomato sauce. Everything was delicious and served hot. The showing of the Batman series was three episodes (about 9 min). The show is produced by Bruce Timms (from the original Batman Animated Series and Justice League Unlimited) and JJ Abrams (Star Wars, Star Trek movies). They even had some cool swag for us! The service during the show was great since you can get food and drinks during the movies. I took some pictures of the souvenirs (T-shirt, Batman masks, key chain etc)

We had a great time seeing Furiosa the Mad Max Saga at Alamo! At first, we were confused because we couldn't find the concession stand, but then we were informed that the server comes to you in your row. The seats are spacious and comfortable. The seats recline with the push of a button. The menu is expansive for a movie theater. We had the loaded fries and the fried pickles. We really liked both. The fries were better but we needed a fork and didn't have one provided. We also each had beer. The movie was awesome! I would definitely come back. They have $7 tickets on Tuesday.
